Kandi Srinivasa Reddy contested as an MLA candidate from the Adilabad Assembly Constituency representing the Indian National Congress (INC) in the 2023 Telangana Legislative Assembly Elections. He secured an impressive 47,724 votes, marking the highest vote count achieved by any Congress MLA candidate in the constituency across the last five elections since 2004. Reddy is also a staunch supporter of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Reddy oversees a charitable trust named the Kandi Srinivasa Reddy Foundation, which has positively impacted countless lives through its various initiatives. The foundation has distributed 55,000 pressure cookers to women and underprivileged families, provided free ambulance services to those in need, ensured the supply of drinking water to high-stress areas, and organized free afternoon meals for the less fortunate.
Kandi Srinivasa Reddy was born in Hasnapur Village, Tamsi Mandal, Adilabad District. He completed his high school education at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Kaghaznagar and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics from JNTU, Hyderabad. Reddy pursued an MBA at Osmania University, Hyderabad, before moving to the United States to complete a Master’s degree in Information Technology at the University of Missouri, Rolla.
Kandi Srinivasa Reddy owns a successful Software and IT business in the United States. His wife, Mouna Reddy, is both an entrepreneur and actively involved in politics. Together, they have two children: a daughter, Arika, and a son, Ishaan.
Kandi Srinivasa Reddy has made a significant impact in political circles, quickly becoming a well-recognized name. His opponents are reportedly struggling to match his dynamic and fast-paced campaigning style in the constituency. Currently, Reddy serves as the Congress Party in-charge for the Adilabad Assembly Constituency. A strong supporter and political ally of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, he is also a leading contender for the position of President of the Adilabad District Congress Committee (DCC).
