Jennifer Garner–Backed Once Upon a Farm Revives IPO Efforts:
Once Upon a Farm, the organic food company best known for its baby food and children’s snacks, is moving forward once again with plans to go public, according to a recent SEC filing and reporting from Reuters.
The company had originally intended to launch its IPO last year but put those plans on hold during the government shutdown. On Tuesday, it filed an updated S-1 registration statement that included a proposed price range of $17 to $19 per share, signaling that the IPO process is back on track and potentially pointing to renewed momentum in the broader IPO market. The company is expected to begin trading on February 6, according to IPOScoop.
Founded in 2015, Once Upon a Farm was co-founded by actress Jennifer Garner, who later joined serial entrepreneurs Cassandra Curtis and Ari Raz. Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan are serving as lead underwriters for the offering.
The company aims to raise at least $208.9 million, which would value the business at approximately $764.4 million. To date, Once Upon a Farm has raised nearly $100 million in private funding, with backing from investors such as S2G Ventures and CAVU Consumer Partners.
